Intercultural Affairs (ICA) at the University of Georgia is defined as a shared community of engaged students, staff, and faculty that celebrates the similarities and complexities of various cultural and social groups. At UGA interculturalism is characterized by students and staff that foster holistic development by encouraging action-oriented awareness, learning, and the dynamic exchange of ideas among unique worldviews.

The University of Georgia’s Department of Intercultural Affairs will serve as the model for Interculturalism among land and sea grant institutions by defining and operationalizing services and programs which support the philosophy of interacting and blending of cultures.
